Our Story
Why are Keep Your Head Up founders so passionate about supporting concussion recovery?
Felicia and Allie have both grappled with persistent symptoms since sustaining sports-related concussions in high school. They faced uphill battles to find the right support, struggling to adapt to the changes brought about by their injuries.
Although they appreciate the increased awareness about concussions due to the efforts of numerous organizations, they noticed that many individuals still struggle to access necessary support after a brain injury.
Having supported each other throughout high school and university, Felicia and Allie decided to join forces and establish an organization aimed at easing the recovery process. Combining their personal experiences in brain injury recovery with their knowledge from studying public health, they aspire to create a world where individuals affected by brain injuries feel supported, connected, and empowered. Their mission is to help others navigate their recovery journeys with resilience, utilizing all they have learned to make the path easier for those undergoing similar challenges.
